The Log A Load For Kids® program is a fundraising campaign that began informally in 1988 in South Carolina to benefit hospitals affiliated with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals), all of which are 501(c)3 organizations and pledge to provide services to their patients regardless of ability to pay.

Since then, Log A Load has expanded to include statewide and local donation campaigns in 27 states, which to date have raised and donated approximately $32 million to CMN Hospitals throughout the United States. The mission of these state and local programs is to raise funds to improve children’s health through treatment, education, and research at CMN Hospitals.

The Log A Load For Kids Foundation, Inc. was created both to coordinate and assist the state and local programs in fundraising and to seek substantial donations from sources such as corporations with a national reach and large foundations. The Log A Load For Kids Foundation Inc. has two primary activities: first, to act as a central coordinator and administrator for all of the state and local programs and to raise general public awareness of the Log A Load For Kids program; and, second, to solicit funds itself from other sources to contribute directly to CMN Hospitals. In the future the Foundation will add a third activity: seeking grant money from various government and private sources to assist the state and local programs in fundraising and to provide startup money to create new programs in areas of the country where no program exists.
